The Falcons concluded their non-conference schedule with a close loss at Solano College on Thursday night, losing 80-77 after leading for most of the first half. The Falcons held a 9-point advantage at halftime (40-31) but could not sustain the momentum while Solano caught fire and took the lead by as many as 7 with five minutes to play. Still, the FLC men fought back to tie it up, only to have Solano win it with a 3-pointer in the final minute. Everett Campbell led the Falcons with 24 points on 7-of-11 shooting (64%) and freshman Pierce Rexford came off the bench to record a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.
The Falcons (3-9) will open Big 8 Conference play on Wednesday night when they host Santa Rosa (8-4) at 7:30 pm in Falcon Gym.
