Knights Start PCAC With Road Win at Grossmont
The defending PCAC champion Knights opened conference season at Grossmont on Wednesday and earned a 101-82 victory over the Griffins to extend their PCAC win streak to 24 games. Anjay Cortez led the way with a season-high 20 points, eight rebounds, and three assists as the 5th-ranked Knights improved to 9-3 overall and 1-0 in the PCAC.

The Knights, who have not lost a conference game since January 31, 2020, had a total of five players who scored in double figures, including Al Green who put in 16 points to go with five rebounds and four assists. He has scored at least 10 points in nine of City's 12 games.
Lorenzo Wright added 14 points to go with a season-high six rebounds. Anthony Howell recorded his second double-double of the year with 11 points and a season-best 14 rebounds.
Kailen Rains produced 13 points, three rebounds, and three assists off the bench in the win.
The Knights are on the road again on Friday at Cuyamaca for a 5 p.m. tip. City currently holds a 21-game win streak over Cuyamaca.
