Irhirhi scored a career-high 15 points in the last home game on January 13, but topped it with 21 points on Friday, including 3-of-6 from the 3-point line. He also added four rebounds and two steals.
Kai Huntsberry had a big game off the bench for City with 21 points, six rebounds, five steals, and a career-best seven assists. He went 8-of-14 from the floor and made all four of his free throws.
Isaac Davis had another solid night with 16 points, seven assists, and five steals.
The game was tied up at 15-15 midway through the first half, but that's when Davis heated up by scoring eight straight points for the Knights to start a 14-2 run during a five-minute stretch that put them ahead for good.
The Knights were up 42-26 at halftime and they continued to pour it on in the second half as their lead ballooned to 31 points with 8:55 left in the game.
MiraCosta was led by Donald Smith's 17 points and nine rebounds. Marcus Foster added 11 points as the Spartans fell to 10-9 overall and 4-3 in the PCAC.
Dominic Hovasse and Makiah Morris contributed nine points a piece for the Knights, who are in sole possession of second place in the conference and one game behind Southwestern.
