Gaskin season-high 30 points leads No. 1 CCSF over San Mateo

SAN FRANCISCO --- Sophomore Naseem Gaskin poured in a season-high 30 points to help lead No. 1 state-ranked City College of San Francisco to a 91-71 Coast Conference North Division victory over visiting College of San Mateo on Wednesday night.

The Rams surged to their 12th consecutive victory to improve to 16-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. CCSF built up a 41-31 lead at halftime and carried that momentum into the second.

Gaskin shot 11 for 17 from the field, including a pair of three-pointers, on his way to surpassing his previous season-high of 28 points. Gaskin leads the Rams in scoring, averaging 17.1 points per game this season.

Emmett Neal added 16 points, Seyi Reiley posted a double-double with 11 points and 13 rebounds, while Nathan Ilunga chipped in with 8 points and 10 rebounds.

CCSF is scheduled to play next at Cañada College on Friday (Jan. 14) at 5 p.m. in a Coast Conference North Division game.
