GCC Men's Basketball ends non-conference play with a tough 87-81 overtime loss to Cuesta College Jan. 4 and are now 6-8
As if an almost 400-mile round trip wasn't enough, the GCC Men's Basketball Team fell to Cuesta College in San Luis Obispo 87-81 in overtime Saturday Jan. 4 after leading 33-25 at halftime. The Vaqs were outscored 12-6 in the extra five minute OT and are 6-8 this season.
 
Freshman Nigel Dickens led Glendale with 23 points in the loss and added three rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots. Noah Smith and Tyson Jackson added 19 points each and Jonathan Hakim had 17 points and four rebounds as four of the five Glendale starters scored in double figures.
 
Glendale starts WSC South play this week with a home game Wednesday Jan. 8 at 7 pm in the Verdugo Gym against West Los Angeles College and play at College of the Canyons Saturday Jan. 11 at 5 pm.
