Ventura, CA – February 21, 2025 – For the first time in Oxnard College men's basketball history, the Condors completed a season sweep of Ventura College, clinching a crucial 92-80 victory on the road and keeping their postseason hopes alive.

Oxnard (14-9, 6-6) showcased a dominant first half, surging to a 47-33 lead before holding off a determined Ventura (11-17, 4-8) in the final stretch. Leading the charge was Luke Ortiz, who delivered a stellar performance with 33 points, 5 rebounds, and 6 blocks. Isaac Means contributed 15 points and 7 rebounds, while Daniel Ortiz added 14 points and 6 rebounds to bolster the Condors' attack.

"Our guys played with heart and determination," said Oxnard head coach, Ron McClurkin. "I am proud of the effort they put in tonight."

The Condors' defense was instrumental in the win, forcing 15 Ventura turnovers and recording 11 steals. Ruben Jimenez made a notable impact off the bench with 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 steals.

Ventura was led by Jeremiah Wilson's 26 points, including seven three-pointers, but the Pirates could not overcome Oxnard's balanced offense and defensive pressure.

With this milestone victory, Oxnard College now sets its sights on the postseason, eager to build on their historic success. OC will learn whether they play on after a meeting of the CCCMBCA on Saturday, February 22.
