Hunter's late jumper lifts Men's Basketball to win over College of the Desert

(Palm Desert, CA) Up 42-29 at halftime, Mt. San Antonio College (7-3) came from behind down the stretch to capture a 76-74 non-conference win over host College of the Desert (0-7) on Tuesday.

With 3:11 left to play, the Roadrunners opened up a six-point lead, 72-66, only to see the Mounties go on a 10-2 run to close the game. The run included a score by Justyn Hunter with 0:01 left on the clock that broke a 74-74 tie and gave Mt. SAC the win.

Hunter led the Mounties with 16 points and all players with 12 assists. Teammates Shaquil Bender and Jamal Edmonson added 15 and 13 points, respectively. On the boards, Bender, Hunter, and Christian Jones each pulled down eight rebounds. Additionally, Hunter also had eight steals on the night.

Next up for Mt. SAC is a non-conference matchup at Irvine Valley College (6-3) on Friday, Dec. 10, at 5 p.m.
