The Cerro Coso Basketball team has had a tremendous season up to this point, most recently by handling Palo Verde College with a convincing 112-86 home win. Their success is due in large part to four sophomores, who were recognized during this past Saturday's game. Jordan Pumphrey, Jonathan Foster, Vernon Hardison, and Isiah Thomas have been a sense of stability for Cerro Coso and have helped to build a foundation for the program to continue to build. All four of these players came to Cerro Coso in the fall of 2018, with hopes of lifting the program to new heights. During the halftime ceremony, Coach Dugan mentioned that "these four players have been pillars to the building of the team, and the success of future teams will be a result of their hard work." Athletic Director John McHenry adds, "There is not a group of athletes that I have seen during my time at Cerro Coso that has made me more proud. These four have represented the quality in character that we strive for, and they have set a fine example for being model students, athletes, and members of the community. Their recognition is truly deserved."

The Coyotes have a big week on the road to finish out the regular season schedule, in two rematch games against Copper Mountain on Wednesday and College of the Desert on Friday. Coach Dugan will be prepping his team for the heated contests, both of which could have legitimate playoff implications for the Coyotes.
