Golden Eagles wrap up season with loss to Sequoias

LEMOORE --- The 2021-22 West Hills College Lemoore men's basketball season came to a close with a 79-66 loss to conference champion College of the Sequoias on Friday at Golden Eagles Arena.

West Hills came up just short in finishing the season with a .500 record, ultimately ending at 12-13 overall with a 6-8 mark in Central Valley Conference play to take fifth place.

Sophomore Camron Wilson closed out his Golden Eagle career with a strong finish. He scored a game-high 24 points in his final game. Wilson led WHCL in scoring with 21.3 points per game, narrowly edging Mack Tarver Jr.'s 21.1 PPG for the team lead.

Wilson's 12.6 rebounds per game was also tops on the Golden Eagles. He totaled nine in Friday's finale.

 Tarver Jr. totaled 14 points against COS with Milton Burnett added 13 points. DyAndre Morehead grabbed a team-best 13 rebounds to go with 4 points.

Next month, West Hills College Lemoore will host the California Community College Athletic Association Basketball State Championships at Golden Eagle Arena.
