Five players scored in double figures and the GCC Men's Basketball Team extended a 48-20 halftime lead to beat L.A. Valley College 85-64 Dec. 17 in a home game in the Verdugo Gym. Glendale is now 9-8 overall.
Freshman guard Tyson Jackson led the scoring barrage with 26 points including four 3-pointers and two steals, Abiel Pearl added 15 points and six rebounds, Powell Mousaian had 13 points and five rebounds, Karson Peffer had 13 points off the bench as well as ;ix rebounds and three steals and Elijah Groves had 12 points and seven rebounds.
Glendale continues WSC South play with a 1 pm home game Saturday Jan. 20 against Bakersfield College in the Verdugo Gym.
