AVC Men's Basketball scored a 70-58 victory over the Rio Hondo Roadrunners. The Marauders shot just over 49% (31-63) from the field while holding the Roadrunners to 29% (17-58). AVC outrebounded Rio Hondo 38-34 but only made 3-18 from behind the 3-point line.
Four Marauders scored in double-digits, with Malik Larane leading the way. Larane had 17 points with 4 assists. Mister Burnside had 15 points with 6 rebounds and 3 assists. Tony Corley recorded a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Josef Major scored 10 points and tied a game-high 5 assists with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Ashton Eckert added 5 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 points, while Ripine Vagaia led the reserves with 6 points and 5 rebounds off the bench.
The win brings the Marauders' record to 6-5. They will head to El Cajon to play three games in the Cuyamaca College Classic before returning home to start conference play on January 8th against Canyons.
