Big Offensive First Half Carries Eagle Men to Fourth Straight Win

MSJC's #2 Isaiah Skinner had 21 points on Tuesday night as the Eagle men's basketball team picked up their fourth win in a row 96-77 over Palo Verde.

The MSJC men's basketball team scored 54 first half points on Tuesday on their way to a 96-77 non-conference home win over visiting Palo Verde College.

The Eagles' Anton Mozga had 18 of his game high 22 points in the first half as MSJC built a 19 point lead at the break.  Josh Hardiman and Isaiah Skinner took over the scoring duties in the second 20 minutes as each had 13 points in the half to carry the Eagles to the victory.  Point guard Ethan Bell handed out 8 assists, while Danilo Da Silva had 5, in all MSJC assisted on 22 of their 33 field goals in the game.

Mozga ended his night with game highs in both points and rebounds with 22 and 17, Skinner had 21 points, and Hardiman had 15.  Bell also ended the night in double figures scoring with 10 to go along with his 8 assists.  All 10 Eagles who played in the game scored at least two points in the contest.

The win was MSJC's fourth in a row and moves them to 4-2 on the season.  The Eagles have some big games against some of the top teams in the state coming in the next couple of weeks, starting with a home game against #1 ranked Fullerton College on Thursday December 2nd.  The Eagles and Hornets will tip it off here in San Jacinto Thursday at 5 pm.
