In their fourth game of the year the MiraCosta men's basketball team took a short trip up to Santiago Canyon to take on the undefeated Hawks.  In what was a very competitive game, the Spartans bested Santiago Canyon by a final score of 78-75.  With the win MiraCosta improves their record to 2-2. 

The Spartans were led in scoring by sophomores Carter Plousha (18) and Patrick McLachlan (15). Julian Williams and Jayden Winfrey also contributed scoring 13 and 10 respectively.

At halftime MiraCosta held a small lead, 39-38. In the second half the Spartans outscored the Hawks 39-37 sealed by two free throws late in the game by Lamont Couch.  With the win MiraCosta

MiraCosta will next be in action on Wednesday, November 17, when they take the road to take on Mt. San Jacinto College.
