Compton Completes Tartar Classic with a 2-1 Showing

Compton, Calif. – The 2019 Tartar Classic finished up Wednesday evening. The Tartars completed the tournament with a 2-1 record beating out West Hills Lemoore (87-56) and Community Christian (85-73) and losing to West LA (109-93).

Freshman DeAnte Wilkins lead the team with two 20-point games; 20 points against West Hills Lemoore and 26 points against Community Christian. He also led the Tartars in rebounds collected in both games as well.

Freshman Dwayne Moore lead the charge in the final game of the tournament. He posted up 26 points, six rebounds, and six assists leading the team in all three categories.

The Tartar Classic was sponsored by Wingstop (Gateway Towne Center), Subway (Alondra and Long Beach Blvd. location), California Creationz, and Gomez Estrada Catering.
