
The Oxnard College Men's Basketball team has now won seven straight games after dominating LA Valley 94-57 in a home victory on Thursday. The Condors showed their strength on both sides of the court, improving their record and extending their impressive streak.
In a high-energy contest, Oxnard's offense was firing on all cylinders, finishing with a remarkable 47.9% shooting from the field, including 40.7% from beyond the arc. The team also capitalized on the free-throw line, shooting 62.5% on 24 attempts. The defensive effort was equally solid, limiting LA Valley to just 34.4% from the field and a mere 17.6% from three-point range.
Oxnard's Standout Performances:
- Isaac Means (https://www.instagram.com/p/DD07mbaRSKU/)was the standout player for Oxnard, scoring a game-high 24 points while adding 7 rebounds and 2 assists. His efficient shooting (9-of-11) and all-around play were critical to the Condors' success.
- Luke Ortiz also played a key role, recording 15 points, 12 rebounds, and 3 blocks in a dominant performance on both ends of the floor.
- Off the bench, Jeremy Goodcase provided a spark, scoring 15 points, including 3 three-pointers, in just 16 minutes of action.
The first half saw Oxnard take control early, building a 42-28 lead at the break. The Condors' offensive outburst continued in the second half, where they outscored LA Valley 52-29, sealing the 94-57 victory.
For LA Valley, Sycon Jennings led the way with 25 points, but it was not enough to overcome Oxnard's balanced attack.
