The City College of San Francisco men's basketball team defeated host Cabrillo College Seahwaks 80-69 on Friday night.

The win improves the Rams record to 4-0 on the young season.

Although the final score suggest that it was an easy road win for the Rams, the first half of the game was anything but easy. Cabrillo (2-1) kept pace with the Rams' high-powered offense, and even closed the first half with a 34-33 lead. The Seahawks (2-1) leaned heavily on guard Kobe Ordonio, who scored a game-high 28 points, and guard Tynan Velasquez who finished with 16 points.

Eventually the Rams took control of the game in the second half. CCSF outscored Cabrillo 47-35, with offensive contributions coming from the starting five to the bench. Starting guard Eddie Stansberry paced the Rams with 18 points, and reserve guardTerrell Brown leading all bench scorers with 16 points.  Twenty eight of the Rams' 80 points came from the bench.

Team rebounding also tipped the scale in the Rams favor. CCSF outrebounded Cabrillo 49-37. Stansberry, forward Michael Steadman, and guard Dexter Hood grabbed seven rebounds apiece, while Brown led with a team-high eight rebounds.

The Friday through Saturday the Rams will play in the Fresno City Tournament
