Drake Scores Season High 24, Hawks Fly Past Golden Eagles

Sacramento, CA - The Hawks hosted the visiting Golden Eagles of West Hills Lemoore in a tightly contested game. CRC emerged victorious with a late run to help the Hawks bring home their 8th victory on the young season. During the game, both teams traded off baskets with a resulting 7 ties, and 19 lead changes. The Hawk offense started strong with a pair of 12 point efforts from Kaleb Drake and Ja'Rod Webb. With the Hawks combining to shoot 40% in the first half, 46.2% from three, the Hawks entered into the half with a lead of 42-37.

During the second half, the Hawk offense started ice cold. Lemoore started off the half with an 8-0 run as the Hawks could not buy a basket. Camron Wilson for the Golden Eagles was the offense, scoring 20 points including 12 from the free throw line. The Hakws recovered to even up the second half score of 40-40. Kyree Dun had a strong second half scoring 11 points on 5-8 shooting. Kaleb Drake tallied 12 points during the second half shooting 5-8 from the field as well. Dillon Iyawe tallied 7 points in the second half to total 13 points to go along with 22 rebounds. This marks Iyawe's 8th double-double on the season already. 

Up Next - The Hawks (8-3) hit the road and take on the Solano Falcons (2-7). This will be the last preseason action for CRC as they look for a last tune up before starting conference play. Tip off will be at 6:00 PM.
