The West Valley men's basketball team evened their Coast-South mark at 2-2 Wednesday night with a 70-61 win over San Jose City in Saratoga. The Vikings (11-9, 2-2 Coast) rode a 20-point second half from Devante Johnson to outlast the Jaguars (4-14, 1-3). Johnson finished with a game-high 34 points, followed by Cristian Mejia with 13. Josiah Ortiz canned five threes on his way to a team-high 17 points for City, while Kameron Vales had 16. The Vikings hit the road for four straight games away from home, beginning with Friday's (1/19) tilt at Monterey Peninsula. Tipoff is 5:00pm.
