Men’s Basketball Extends Winning-Streak Against Compton

The No. 29 Long Beach City College men's basketball team defeated the Compton College Tartars 76-70 on Wednesday night in the Hall of Champions. With the win, the Vikings extend their winning-streak to five games and are 14-10 overall and 7-2 in the South Coast Conference.

Freshman guard Bonard Johnson Jr. was unstoppable against the Tartars as he led the team with 21 points and had eight rebounds. Freshman guard Lorezno Marsh also impressed with 18 points and seven rebounds for the Vikings. Both freshman forwards Shane Hunter and Kameron Mahan totaled 13 points, but Mayhan had the only double-double with 15 rebounds.

The Vikings have one more home game left on Monday, Feb. 21 against Rio Hondo College at 5 p.m. in the Hall of Champions.
