COD (4-16; 2-7) received big production out of Walker Weir and Jayden Creavalle, as the Roadrunners avenged an earlier season loss and pushed past the Copper Mountain Fighting Cacti of Joshua Tree (8-13; 3-6), 79-68.
Sophomore starting guard Wilfred Weir (Murrieta Valley) had a career high 35-point game, on 13 of 26 shooting and going 3 for 11 from 3-point range, including going 6 for 9 from the free throw line. Freshman starting guard Jayden Creavalle (Palm Springs H.S.) had his 4th 20+ point performance of the season, including draining a season high six 3-point shots, going 6 for 14 from beyond the arc. Sophomore starting forward Jamerson McClendon (Indio H.S.) tied a career high with 4 blocked shots, while leading the team in assists (8) and total boards (13).
The next game for the Roadrunners will be at home against the Barstow Vikings on Saturday, February 1 at 3p.
