The Knights took one step closer to completing a third consecutive undefeated PCAC South season by routing Imperial Valley, 106-70, on Wednesday night to improve to 28-2 overall and 9-0 in conference.

The victory was City's 21st in a row and 11th straight over Imperial Valley. The Knights' last loss to IVC was five years ago on February 20, 2013.
The Knights, who clinched their third straight outright PCAC South championship on Wednesday, have won 27 consecutive conference games. City has also won 15 home games in a row.
City had a 43-34 halftime lead and then took control of the game early in the second half with a 9-1 run in the first three minutes.
A few minutes later, the Knights used a 20-4 burst to blow the game open with a 75-47 lead.
City's bench got plenty of playing time with Trevor Drake leading the way. He hit six 3s and added a pair of free throws to score a game-high 20 points. Joseph Riley put in 16 points and dished out seven assists.
Isaac Davis recorded a season-high 12 assists. Robert Taylor was the only starter to score in double figures with 16 points.
The Knights' final conference game of the season will be played at Harry West Gym against Mesa on Friday at 7 p.m. City has won 21 straight over Mesa with the last loss coming on on January 13, 2007.
