Men's Basketball Defeats Desert For IEAC Win

The MSJC men's basketball team got off to a fast start and kept pace throughout the game to earn a 95-77 home Inland Empire Athletic Conference win over College of the Desert.

The Eagles rode the hot shooting of Ethan Bell and Anton Mozga to jump out to a big 52-31 lead at the half as the pair combined for 29 first half points, 16 from Bell and 13 from Mozga.  Mozga also had 12 of his game high 16 rebounds in the first half.

Isaiah Skinner and Mekhi Hill each had 7 points in the second half to keep the momentum flowing for the Eagles.  In all when the game was over Mozga finished with 23 points and 16 rebounds while Bell had 21 points and 4 assists.  Cameron Durr added 13 off the bench while Skinner finished with 9 and 6 boards while Hill and Josh Hardiman both had 7 points and 6 rebounds.  Danilo Da Silva finished his night with 8 points and 7 assists.

The Eagles improved to 13-9 overall and 8-3 in IEAC play.  MSJC returns to action on Friday when they travel to Barstow for a 7 pm game.
