Three Chargers Go for 20 in Cypress Win, 88-80

CYPRESS, CA- The Cypress Chargers (15-10, 7-6 OEC) faced off against the Golden West Rustlers (6-17, 1-11 OEC) in their second matchup this season. Cypress defeated Golden West 88-80 in a back and forth offensive battle. 

Ramiah Adedigba (9-18) scored 21 points while grabbing 5 rebounds. Grant Sii (6-10) sunk 3 three-pointers to go along with his 3 assists and 3 steals. Tommie Flanagan (7-11) scored 20 points as the Chargers' guards were too much for the Golden West defense. Eric Watson of Golden West had his way in the paint on the way to a double-double with 25 points and 10 rebounds. 

Golden West got their offense flowing as they led 36-21 with 4:16 to play. The Chargers began to press and turned defense to offense as they rattled off eight straight points. Grant Sii sunk a long three-pointer at the first half horn to make the score 42-35 Golden West. Nijel Jones scored eight straight points for Cypress early in the second half to give the Chargers their first lead of the game, 49-48. The teams continued to trade baskets as Golden West fought back to knot the game up at 60 with 10:48 to play. Nine straight points for the Chargers allowed them to pull away and coast to a 88-80 victory.  

UP NEXT: Cypress will be back at home on Monday night to host the Fullerton Hornets. Tip-off at 5pm.
