TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College suffered a 111-88 loss to Mount San Antonio on Friday night at the ECC Gym Complex.
The Warriors got 23 points from Kai Johnson in 16 minutes of action while Aaron Cortes scored 14 points with five rebounds and three blocks in the loss.
The Mounties had five players score in double figures led by Jaidyn Simpson's 25 points to go along with five assists. Immanuel Taylor added 18 points with Joe Gado scoring 15, Ryan Wheeler adding 14 and Jon McCullough scoring 13 in the win.
The game featured a comibined 57 fouls and 70 free throws along with 49 combined turnovers. The Mounties held an 84-20 edge in points in the paint while the Warriors made 15 three-pointers on 53 attempts. The teams also combined for 67 fast-break points with the Mounties accounting for 45 of those with Mt. SAC never trailing in the game.
The Warriors will return to action on Wednesday with a road game at Rio Hondo.
