No. 1 CCSF cruises to rout of Cañada; sets up state showdown of unbeatens vs. No. 3 Las Positas on Friday

REDWOOD CITY – No. 1 state-ranked City College of San Francisco got the new year started off in a big way as the Rams rolled to a 126-49 rout at Cañada College to open their Coast Conference North Division schedule.

Six Rams scored in double figures. James Moore led CCSF with 21 points, John Squire scored 20, King-Njhsanni Wilhite had 16, Ray-John Spears contributed 12 points, while Jalen Glenn and Antonio Pusateri both added 10 points.

The Rams ran their perfect record to 15-0 on the season and are now 1-0 in the Coast Conference North Division.

The victory sets up a huge state showdown that will match up a pair of unbeaten teams when CCSF hosts No. 3 state-ranked Las Positas College on Friday (Jan. 10) at 7 p.m. Las Positas enters the contest with an identical 15-0 record and is coming off a 72-59 win over College of San Mateo in Wednesday in its Coast North opener.
