MSJC's Anton Mozga had 25 points and 8 rebounds Wednesday to help the Eagles pick up an IEAC victory 85-56 over Victor Valley.

The MSJC men's basketball team played their first home game in front of their fans since December and came away with an 85-56 win over Victor Valley.

The Eagles got off to a fast start as they jumped out to a 17-5 lead just six minutes into the contest.  After holding off a run from the Rams the Eagles were able to extend that lead to as much as 20 in the first half before eventually going to the locker room with a 45-26 lead.  The lead would swell to 35 midway through the second half as the Eagles out scored VVC 40-30 in the second half.

Anton Mozga helped the Eagles get out to the early lead as he scored 17 of his game high 25 points in the first half.  Mozga finished the night shooting 9 of 14 from the floor and connecting on 5 three point shots while grabbing 8 rebounds.  Isaiah Skinner flirted with a triple double on the night as he scored 20 points, pulled down 8 rebounds and dished out a game high 7 assists.  Josh Hardiman came off the bench to go a perfect 4 for 4 from the field to score 12 points for MSJC.  Cameron Durr added 9 points and 5 assists off the bench for the Eagles while Danilo Da Silva and Mekhi Hill each had 3 assists in the win.

The Eagles are now 10-9 overall on the season, they improved to 5-3 in Inland Empire Athletic Conference play.  MSJC will be back in action Saturday when they travel to Rancho Cucamonga to take on Chaffey.  Saturday's game will follow the MSJC women's game at Chaffey with the women set to tip-off at 1 pm and the men at 3.
