
Men's Basketball has been on a roll since the second week of the season by winning five of the last six games. The Cougars, now 6-3 on the season, hosted #24 Cabrillo and beat the visiting Seahawks convincingly, 70-48. Cuesta scored exactly 35 points in each half, while holding their opponent to 26 points to open the game and just 22 after the intermission. Center Alessandro Perotti (pict-L) controlled all facets of the game. He scored 18 points on offense and tied, with his teammate, Jozef Zlocha (pict-R), with a game-high eight rebounds. He also added a game-highs with both six assists and three shot blocks. Zlocha posted 15 points of his own, however Cuesta's Point Guard Lorenzo Ceffoli took the honors as the game's leading scorer with 19 points. Freshman Guard Walzel Evans was the only Seahawk to score in double-digits and led Cabrillo with 12 points on the night.
Cuesta's Cagers travel to Santa Clarita this Saturday (5 PM) to face their fellow Cougars at the College of the Canyons, which kicks off a six-game roadtrip. Cuesta shall not be back in front of their home faithful until they host Glendale on January 4 (5 PM)
