The Gladiators (8-2), ranked No. 19 in the Dec. 9 CCCMBCA state poll, had nice balance against American River. The Gladiators will continue preparations for the Coast Conference-North Division season with a home game against Cabrillo at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

After Christmas, the Gladiators will head down south for three games in the Alan Hancock Holiday Classic in Santa Barbara before opening conference play with a doozy against City College of San Francisco on Jan. 8.
