Men's Basketball comes home to defeat Cerro Coso and Bakersfield to extend wining streak to 5 games

After being away from home for almost a month, the Raider Men's Basketball team came home to host Cerro Coso and Bakersfield and they did a little home cooking defeating Cerro Coso, 73-67 and Bakersfield 100-66. With the two wins, the Raiders extend their wining streak to 5 games.
In the game vs Cerro Coso, the Raiders were led by Reese Widerburg game high 21 points, Dashaun Warren had 11 points with 8 rebounds. Dominick Contreras added 11 points.
The first was close throughout with the Raiders taking a 5-2 lead and never trailed to take a 35-34 lead into the half. The second half turned into a back and forth affair. The Raiders took a brief 4 point lead but the Wolves came back a took a 5 point lead at the 14 minute mark. The Raiders were chasing for almost 10 minutes and re-took the lead with 4:30 left. The Raiders were able to build a 4 point lead and held off Cerro Coso to get the win.
In the game vs Bakersfield, Dominick Contreras led the Raiders with 20 points and Reese Widerburg added 15 points.
Bakersfield opened the game with a 2-0 lead at 19:40 and never led again. The Raiders went on a 47-27 run to take a 47-29 lead into the half. The Raiders kept the foot on the gas peddle and outscored the 'Gades by another 20 points to get the 100-66 win.
The Raiders will hit the the road again and play three more games before Christmas. The will take on LA City on Friday 12/20 and then continue on to the San Diego area for the Pete Adelman Crossover. They will take on host Mira Costa on Sunday, 12/22 at 4p, then take on SD Miramar on Monday, 12/23 at 12p.
