Compton, Calif.- The Compton Tartars Men's Basketball lose a close match to the LA Harbor College Seahawks 86-80.
The Tartars had a balanced attack with five players scoring in double digits. Romaro Hutchinson and Arvin Shirali led the attack from three point range with both players connecting for four each. While the sophomore tandem of A Al Najim Ashley, and Gabriel Ajemian were the aggressors at attacking the basket.
There were several lead changes throughout the first half of the game with the Tartars down 36-34 at halftime . However, the Tartars would get out to a slow start as the Seahawks went on a 9-0 run to expand their lead. The Tartars were able to put together a strong charge to bring the game into striking distant, but the Seahawk would prevail to a final score of 80-86.
The men's basketball team (8-11, 3-3) next game will be at home Wednesday, February 7th at 5:00 pm against the Mt. San Antonio Mounties (13-4, 3-1).
