**Victor Valley College Rams Secure First Inland Empire Athletic Conference Victory**

In a thrilling showdown at home, the Victor Valley College Rams men's basketball team clinched their first Inland Empire Athletic Conference win on January 15, 2025, against Copper Mountain, with a final score of 76-71. This hard-fought victory showcased the Ram's resilience and determination after several narrow losses in recent games.

The Rams entered the game with a record of 5-12, eager to turn the tide and register their first conference win. The team had been battling fiercely in previous matchups, often coming up short by only a few points. However, their persistence and hard work finally paid off in front of an enthusiastic home crowd in Victorville, California.

Victor Valley's standout performer of the night was Jordan Malveaux, who delivered an exceptional performance with 22 points, shooting an impressive 64% from the field. Malveaux was a force to be reckoned with, finding his rhythm early and maintaining consistent offensive pressure throughout the game.

Sheldon Grant also played a crucial role in the Rams' success, contributing 20 points and going a perfect 8-for-8 from the free-throw line. His ability to capitalize on free throws in crucial moments helped the Rams maintain their lead in the second half.

La'Travion Jones added 10 points, including two vital three-pointers, while Jordan Clayton was instrumental under the boards, grabbing a team-high 11 rebounds. Clayton's defensive efforts were pivotal in limiting Copper Mountain's second-chance opportunities.

The game saw a strong start from the Rams, who led by 10 points at halftime, 37-27. Although Copper Mountain rallied in the second half, the Rams held firm, showcasing their defensive prowess and composure under pressure. Victor Valley shot 43.9% from the field and an impressive 42.1% from beyond the arc, demonstrating their offensive efficiency.
