Men's Basketball Knocks Off San Bernardino For Third Straight Win

MSJC's Isiah Skinner had 15 points and 6 rebounds Saturday to help the Eagle men's basketball team defeat San Bernardino Valley 83-71.

The MSJC men's basketball team picked up their third win in a row on Saturday to move into a share of the top spot in the Inland Empire Athletic Conference with an 83-71 win over San Bernardino Valley.

The Eagles jumped out to an early lead but the Wolverines fought their way right back in as MSJC held a 36-34 lead at halftime.  The Eagles made their biggest move of the game during a three and a half minute span of the second half when they pushed a 48-45 lead out to a 63-45 lead during a 15-0 run.  The Wolverines again pushed back closing the game to seven at 70-63 with 6:26 to play, but the Eagles made the plays down the stretch to preserve the victory.

Four Eagles ended the day in double figures led by Cameron Durr, who came off the bench to score a team high 21.  Anton Mozga and Isaiah Skinner each had 15 points in the game and Mekhi Hill added 11.  Danilo Da Silva just missed double figures with 9 points, he also added a team high 5 assists.  Mozga led the way on the glass with a game high 14 rebounds to notch another double double, Skinner and Hill both pulled in 6 boards a piece as MSJC out rebounded the Wolverines 41-29 on the night.

The win makes the Eagles 4-1 in IEAC play and 9-7 overall while SBVC fell to 3-1 in conference and 11-4 overall.
