If a series of games could help the GCC Men's Basketball gain much needed confidence, it may have taken place last Thursday through Saturday Nov. 18-20 in the Pasadena City College Tournament. The Vaqs won two of three games, falling to L.A. Pierce 69-65 before beating PCC 92-52 and L.A. Valley 62-57 Saturday to win the Consolation Title and improve to 5-4 this season.

All-Tournament selection Jalen White led the Vaqs with 15 points on seven out of nine from the field in the win over Valley, a Western State Conference rival. Joel Finney added 12 points as well as three rebounds and three assists. Julian Dixon and Jayden Crouch had six points each and Couch led Glendale with seven rebounds. He also had 15 points, five rebounds and five assists in the win Friday over Pasadena.

"We played really well in all three games on the offensive side of the ball,'' said GCC Head Coach Vigen Jilizian. "We continue to move the ball well on offense and find guys for open shot attempts.''

Glendale is off this week for the Thanksgiving break. They play next week on Friday Dec. 3 against Ventura College in the first round of the Antelope Valley
