In the opening game of a men's and women's basketball doubleheader, the men's team got it started with a 84-71 win over El Camino College.
Down 40-37 at half time, Pierce used a big second half to propell them to their second win of the season. In the second half the Brahmas outscored their opponents 47-31. Despite El Camino shooting 50% from the field, compared to Pierce shooting 39%. The Brahmas had a huge advantage in bench points. Outscoring their opponents 50-18 in bench points. Pierce led by as many as 16 points, winning the turnover battle and the battle on the glass.
Kameron Brown and Isiah Salim led the Brahmas in points with 17. Keshawn Christian had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.
The team's next home game will be part of another doubleheader on Wednesday December 13 against LA Southwest. Tip-off is at 5 p.m.
