Owls Extended Win Streak

The Citrus College Men's Basketball team defeated Long Beach City College by a score of 102-71 on Friday night to extend their winning streak to five games in their final game before the new year.
Citrus College improves to 11-2 overall on the season while Long Beach City College falls to 3-10 overall on the year.
The Owls got off to a hot start against the Vikings going on a 13-0 run halfway through the first half to jump out to a 20-point lead.
Citrus College controlled the entire game, never allowing Long Beach City to have a lead while the Owls largest lead was 36 points late in the second half. Citrus held the Vikings to 35.3% from the field and only allowed the Vikings to hit 2-of-13 from three-point range. The Owls shot 52.9% from the field and went 7-of-24 from three-point range while outscoring the Vikings in points off turnovers 14-4), 2nd chance points (12-8), points in the paint (36-30) and bench points (49-32).
Citrus was led by Brady Cook who came off the bench to score 18 points on 6-of-8 from the field while grabbing 13 rebounds with two assists and one steal. KJ Perry scored 16 points with two rebounds, two steals and one assist. Blake Ballard dropped 12 points with four rebounds and two assists, Amiri Meadows scored eight points while adding two assists, two rebounds and two steals. Both Malik Khouzam and Ryan Raad hit two three-pointers off the bench, Khouzam scored 13 points and led the Owls with four assists while Raad scored 12 points and grabbed four rebounds.
The Owls, currently ranked No.5 in the state, will play their first game of 2025 at home against Moorpark next Friday, January 3rd at 5 p.m.
