Men’s Basketball Hammers Barstow

TORRANCE, Calif. --- El Camino College left no doubt on Wednesday night in its game against Barstow, leading wire-to-wire en route to a 110-69 non-conference victory at the ECC Gym Complex.

The Warriors (6-2) never trailed and shot 70 percent from the field against the Vikings (0-8).

Gabe Hubbard led the Warriors with 20 points and seven rebounds to go along with three steals and two assists. He was one of five players in double figures for ECC with Alexis Maria adding 17, Billy Ray Barnes III going for 15, Mattias Sjolin scoring 12 and Elliot Kerley posting 10 points in the win.

The Warriors dished out a season-high 30 assists on 42 made baskets and went 9-for-15 from 3-point range. The defense forced 33 turnovers which turned into 39 points for the Warriors.

The team dominated in nearly every facet of the game, outrebounding the Vikings 31-26 and pounding the ball inside with a 66-42 advantage on points in the paint.

The Warriors reserves also delivered with 51 bench points, also a season-high.

The Warriors will be off for eight days before returning to action on Dec. 1 with a road game at College of the Desert. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m.
