OXNARD – The SBCC men's basketball team's offense exploded for season-highs Monday at Oxnard, as the Vaqueros took down the Condors 93-85 for their second straight win.

Santa Barbara (7-12, 2-3) shot a staggering 57.7 percent from the field and hit 11-of-20 (55%) from three-point range, tying its highest scoring total set in its season-opening win against El Camino.

Forward Adam Weingard hit the 20-point mark for the third time this year, connecting on 6-of-11 shot attempts and 3-of-6 from downtown for his team-high 20 points.

Wilfrid Nado reached double-figures for the fourth time in six games, scoring 12 points thanks to a 7-for-8 mark from the free throw line. Fellow guard JJ Fain also finished with a season-best 12 points to lead the bench, hitting his most threes (3-5 3FG) this year.

The Vaqueros crushed the Condors on the glass 39-23, and had a huge 17-6 edge in assists. Guard Jaelen Bates led the way in both departments, tallying eight helpers and six boards, both season-highs.

SBCC led 43-40 at the half and outscored Oxnard 50-45 over the final 20 minutes. The Vaqueros' 50 second half points were one shy of their season-best of 51 set against Pasadena on Nov. 12.
