Finn Whipps tied his season-high with 16 points, but it wasn't enough as Santa Barbara City College fell to Allan Hancock, 80-57, on Wednesday.
The Vaqueros dropped to 7-14 overall and 0-5 in conference play.
James Reach scored 15 points, including two 3-pointers, and added four rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Will Pace contributed 11 points, while Nick Tjaden tallied six points, eight rebounds, and six assists.
It was a challenging game for Santa Barbara, which played with a short bench and relied on only four players to relieve the starters. The Vaqueros were outrebounded by the Bulldogs, 40-24, and were doubled up on the offensive glass, 18-9.
Santa Barbara will look to bounce back on Wednesday, Jan. 29, when it hosts Cuesta College at 7 p.m. in the Sports Pavilion.
