Coyotes prepare for victory

The Cerro Coso basketball team won big Wednesday on the road against West Hills Coalinga, 101-59 as they advance their season record to 6-1. Lead by Jonathan Foster (17 pts), Jordan Pumphrey (15 pts), and Isiah Thomas (14 pts), the Coyotes were able to handle ex-CVC foe West Hills Coalinga handily. Cerro Coso took off to quick start in the contest ending the first half by a score of 48-22, and never looked back as they reached the 100 pt mark for the first time this season. Cerro Coso was able to get some depth off of the bench during the game as freshman Deandre Pemberton (8 pts) and Keandre Hill (8 pts) were able to step in with valuable minutes. The Coyote Basketball team is currently in preparation to travel to Mt. San Antionio College for the always competitive Mountie Classic. In the tournament, the Coyotes will take on Imperial Valley (Friday), and Mt. SAC (Saturday) as they look to continue their winning ways.
