Men's Basketball: Bulldogs Outlast Oxnard in Road Test

OXNARD, Calif. - The Allan Hancock College men's basketball team bounced back after an off-showing at Ventura by outlasting Oxnard College en route to an 87-78 road win on Wednesday evening. | BOX SCORE

The Bulldogs (16-7, 6-1 WSC) held a slim five-point advantage at the intermission before outscoring the hosting Condors (6-15, 2-6 WSC) by just one point in the second half. Hancock shot a red-hot 48.5 percent while hitting an impressive 11 attempts from distance. Coach Aye's crew dominated inside, outrebounding Oxnard at a 36-21 margin while also scoring 17 second-chance points. 

Quincy Bentley led a trio of double figure scorers with a career-high mark of 25 points after hitting seven three-pointers. Taevon Pierre-Louis finished one rebound shy of a double-double with a 17-point, nine-rebound showing. Kevin Kogbara rounded out the top scorers off of the bench with a double-double that consisted of 14 points and 12 rebounds. 

The Bulldogs are set to return to action on Saturday, February 4th, at home against Cuesta College. Single-game tickets for the event, which is scheduled to begin at 5 PM inside of the Joe White Memorial Gymnasium, can be purchased here. As per usual, the ticketing gate will be cashless and fans are strongly encouraged to purchase their tickets prior to arrival, but credit/debit card purchases can be made at the gate.
