The MSJC men's basketball team picked up a win on Wednesday over Cerritos College, before falling to East Los Angeles on Thursday at the 49th Annual Riverside Holiday Classic.

Wednesday the Eagles fought back from a 7 point halftime deficit to hang on for a 64-62 win over Cerritos.  The win avenged the Eagles' season opening loss to the Falcons on November 5th.  Isaiah Skinner led the MSJC offense Wednesday with 21 points as he connected on 6 of 7 free throws while shooting 7 of 15 from the field.  Anton Mozga and Danilo Da Silva each had 12 points in the win for the Eagles.  Mozga had a double double as he pulled in a game high 13 rebounds.  Isaiah Shirley came off the bench to add 8 points for MSJC while Mekhi Hill chipped in with 6 points and 5 rebounds.

On Thursday, a rough final 6 minutes saw a close game slip away from the Eagles as they ended the game falling to East LA 76-56.  MSJC was down just 7 points with 6:07 to play in the game, but scored just two more points on a pair of free throws the rest of the way in the loss.  Mozga recorded another double double in the loss as he scored a team high 17 and grabbed a game high 12 rebounds, Skinner reached double figures in scoring with 12.  Da Silva ended the night with 7 points while Ethan Bell had 3 assists in the game.  Hill added 5 points and 5 boards, and Adrian Ludwig pulled in 6 rebounds.

The Eagles are now 5-4 on the season, and return to action Saturday morning to wrap up the Riverside event.  MSJC will take on Saddleback at 10 am on Saturday at RCC.
