Nine Vikings scored, led by Jacquez Walker's game-high 20, as the West Valley men's basketball team posted a 77-59 win over Diablo Valley Saturday night in Saratoga. Devante Johnson and Tyler Wright each scored 16 to help the Vikings (4-8) close out the 2018 West Valley Holiday Classic with a 1-1 mark. WVC led 35-28 at the break thanks to Walker's 15 points and a trio of treys from Johnson. Wright got rolling in the second half, canning 12 points and snaring 11 rebounds (he would finish with 20 boards). Anthony Haskett and Mitchell Smith paced DVC (4-5) with 15 points each. West Valley caps the 2018 pre-league home schedule Tuesday (12/18) with a 5:00pm contest against Solano (2-7).
