Men's Basketball Falls at Lemoore- Travel To Fresno on Saturday

Men's Basketball fell at West Hills-Lemoore, 75-66.  The Cougars held a narrow, 37-36, lead at the intermission, but the host Golden Eagles outscored Cuesta by ten in the second half to defend their home floor.  Lemoore's comeback was keyed on their ability to get second chance shots and to score from the free throw line.  Cuesta was out-rebounded 59-37, while the Golden Eagles also took nine more free throws, which included seven second-half points from the "charity stripe".  Returning Freshman Guard Darryl Brooks II (Menemonee Falls, WI- pict) led Cuesta with both 16 points and seven rebounds, while Freshman Forward Kobe Pearson (Melbourne, AUS) added a dozen more points to the Cougars' cause.  However, the Cougars did not have an answer for Golden Eagles Milton Burnett and Camron Wilson, who combined for 58 points, 22 rebounds, three assists and six steals to lead Lemoore.  The loss dropped the Cougars to 3-7 on the season.

Cuesta travels to Fresno on Saturday (5 PM).  The Rams were ranked #11 in the pre-season poll but are currently 4-5 on the season.
