In a thrilling stretch of games, the Los Angeles Pierce College Men's Basketball team secured their third consecutive victory with a dominant 72-58 win over Los Angeles Trade Tech College. From start to finish, the team displayed impressive offensive execution. Leading by double digits for most of the game, the Brahmas led by as much as 17 points.
The Brahmas made nearly half of their buckets in the paint. Pierce recorded 34 points in the paint, in comparison to LATTC who finished with 22. Pierce was able to get some good open looks, shooting 47% from the field, and 31% from beyond the arc.
Freshman Markus Steele led all scorers with 25 points and just finished shy of a double-double with nine rebounds. Sophomore Jule Sims had eight assists and 10 rebounds. Sophomore Tyler Glisson added 14 points off the bench.
Pierce visits Glendale College on Thursday, Dec 19. Tip-off is at 5:00 p.m. The team will then return on Saturday, Dec 21 for their final home game of 2024, before they return in January. They will take on Porterville, tip-off is at 3:00 p.m.
