Narrow wins seem to be the theme for the recent success of the GCC Men's Basketball Team as they won its third straight conference game with a 68-67 victory at L.A. Valley College Jan. 22. Glendale is now 3-1 in the WSC South and 9-9 overall.
Despite trailing 38-32 at halftime, the Vaqs benefitted from a game high 22 points by freshman Nigel Dickens including three, 3-pointers and eight rebounds. Jonathan Hakim added 16 points on four 3-pointers and Tyson Jackson had 11 points to pace the starters. Emerson Fields had eight points and five rebounds off the bench for GCC.
Glendale continues conference play with a home game at 1 pm Saturday Jan. 25 against Antelope Valley College.
