Compton, Calif. - Sophomore L'kielynn Taylor recorded his fourth double-double of the season with 24 points and 12 rebounds, but the Compton men's basketball team (3-15, 0-2) lost to No. 9 Cerritos (17-4, 2-0), 74-62, on Friday evening.

Taylor added five steals and three assists to his night. Freshmen Derrius Ennis and James Mitchell both posted double-figure point nights with 12 and 10, respectively. 

The Tartars continue their homestand by hosting LA Harbor on Wednesday, Jan. 24 at 6 p.m. for James Newman Night. Former Compton head coach James Newman, who passed away in 2017, will be honored at halftime.
