MBB: Eagles Win at Victor Valley

The MSJC men's basketball team broke open a close game in the second half on Monday night to win an Inland Empire Athletic Conference game on the road at Victor Valley 81-59.

The Eagles seemed to be in control from the out set, but a late first half rally by the Rams closed the gap to 33-32 at the half.  MSJC was able to regain control of the game though in the second half and outscore VVC 48-27 in the second on their way to their third straight victory.

Danilo Da Silva led the way for the Eagles as he scored a game high 20 points, connecting on 5 of 9 three point shots.  Cameron Durr came off the bench to add a spark with 16 points.  Anton Mozga recorded another double double as he finished the night with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Josh Hardiman also hit double figures in scoring with 10, Isaiah Skinner had 8 points and a team high 4 assists in the victory.

The win improved the Eagles to 12-9 overall they are 7-3 in conference play.  MSJC's busy week continues on Wednesday night when they host College of the Desert at 7 pm.  The Eagles will conclude their week with a trip to Barstow on Friday for another 7 pm tip-off.
