Tigers beat Porterville 85-82

Led by Ruben Parks' 38 points, the Reedley College men's basketball team rallied for an 85-82 Central Valley Conference victory over the Porterville College Pirates on Wednesday night in Reedley.

Parks made all 14 of his free throw attempts, including all six in the final 27.3 seconds. The freshman from Edison added nine rebounds to tie teammate Hassan Bolden for the team high. Bolden also finished with 14 points for the Tigers, who improved to 3-4 in the CVC and 7-12 overall.

Elijah Jefferies added 10 points and five assists. Elijah Clark made a go ahead 3-pointer with just over six minutes remaining.

Porterville (1-6, 6-12) had four players score in double figures, led by Carlos Angel's 22 points.

Reedley returns to action on Saturday in Coalinga against the fifth ranked team in the state, the West Hills College Falcons.
