Falcon men dust off cobwebs, roll to victory over Modesto

Despite having not played a single game in four weeks, the Folsom Lake men picked up right where they left off with a solid 73-59 victory at Modesto Junior College on Tuesday night.  With numerous postponements due to COVID protocols over the last four weeks, the Falcons couldn't even schedule practices for much of that time.  But they made the most of their time on the hardwood on Tuesday, building an 8-point lead at halftime.  Sophomore Pierce Rexford continued his hot season with another double-double, scoring 30 points and grabbing 11 rebounds to lead the Falcons in both categories.  Point guard Jaylen Solich dished out 8 assists and netted 8 points as well.

With the win, the Falcons improved to 9-5 overall and moved into second place in the Big 8 Conference with a 3-0 record.  They'll host Delta College (10-8 overall, 4-2 in Big 8) on Friday night at Falcon Gym (5:30 pm).
