Men’s Basketball: No. 4 West LA beats LA Valley for 11th straight win

VALLEY GLEN --- No.4 state-ranked West Los Angeles College is surging at the right time. Coming off a huge win over No. 14 Citrus College on Saturday, the Wildcats followed that up with an 88-48 victory at Los Angeles Valley College on Monday.

The victory extended West LA's winning streak to 11 games as the Wildcats improved to 19-3 overall and a perfect 10-0 in Western State Conference South Division play with four games to play.

The Wildcats jumped out to 31-24 lead at halftime and outscored the Monarchs 57-24 over the final 20 minutes to secure the blowout.

West LA nailed 13 three-pointers in the contest, led by four from Benjamin Ramirez. He went on to score a team-high 15 points. Khalifah Muhammad and Roy Clarke both scored 11 points each while Ethelbert Anum added 10 points.

Elijah Charles led West LA with 10 rebounds and Dyllan Young chipped in with 9 points and 8 rebounds.

West LA and LA Valley (2-15, 1-5 WSC) will face off again on Wednesday (Feb. 9), this time in Culver City at 5 p.m.
